Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup Wesson oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 3 cups apples

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix well until smooth.
  3. Add flour and mix well.
  4. Fold in the chopped apples.
  5. Pour in the chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased 8 x 12 x 2-inch pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 1 to 1½ hours until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Sprinkle with additional chopped pecans when done, if desired.
