Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 6 cups orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 quart (4 cups) ginger ale, chilled
  • ice ring (optional)
  • ground nutmeg (optional)
  • stick cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs on low speed of electric mixer until blended.
  2. Add sugar and ground spices (cardamom, cinnamon, cloves).
  3. Beat at medium speed until sugar is dissolved.
  4. On low speed, beat in softened vanilla ice cream.
  5. Add orange juice and lemon juice.
  6. Cover and chill the mixture.
  7. To serve, pour the chilled mixture into a large punch bowl.
  8. Slowly pour in chilled ginger ale, stirring with an up and down motion.
  9. Add an ice ring to the punch bowl, if desired.
  10. For each serving, sprinkle ground nutmeg on top and add a stick cinnamon stirrer, if desired.
