Ingredients

  • 1/2 pkg. dates
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 c. oleo
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 c. nuts

Instructions

  1. Bring dates and water to a boil for 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Cream oleo and sugar; add egg, cream of tartar and nuts.
  3. Mix all ingredients together, except dates and water.
  4. Last, add the dates and water and mix all well.
  5. Bake at 325° to 350° in muffin tins. Can use paper cups.
