Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour (unsifted)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 lb. butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1/2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a bowl at once.
  2. Beat for 20 minutes at medium speed.
  3. Grease an angel food pan.
  4. Pour batter into the pan.
  5. Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour.
  6. Heat oven after putting in the cake.
