A light and fruity dessert featuring angel food cake layered with a refreshing strawberry, raspberry, or pineapple gelatin mixture, perfect for a healthy, satisfying treat. Suitable for all occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 angel food cake
  • 1 (10 oz.) package frozen strawberries
  • or 16 oz. can crushed pineapple
  • 1 envelope plain gelatin
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Soak the gelatin in cold water.
  2. Drain the fruit well.
  3. Reserve 3/4 cup of fruit juice, adding water if necessary.
  4. Heat the juice until warm.
  5. Stir in the gelatin until dissolved, then add the fruit.
  6. Chill the mixture.
  7. When the gelatin begins to thicken, fold in the yogurt.
  8. Split the angel food cake horizontally into thirds.
  9. Fill each layer with the fruit mixture as you re-stack the cake.
  10. Frost with Smooth N' Creamy Frosting.
