Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 4 squares bitter chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 eggs

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
  2. Pour into a greased and floured 10 x 15-inch jelly roll pan.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 35 minutes.
  4. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares and serving.
