Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked elbow macaroni
  • 3 cups grated Cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Divide the cooked macaroni and grated cheese into two parts.
  3. Layer half of the macaroni in a buttered 2-quart baking dish, then top with half of the grated cheese.
  4. Repeat with the second layer, finishing with the remaining cheese on top.
  5. Dissolve the ground dry mustard and salt in 1/4 cup of milk.
  6. Beat the eggs and stir in the mustard mixture and the remaining milk.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the layered macaroni and cheese in the dish.
  8. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
