- Add shortening and sugar to boiling water; then let cool.
- Mix yeast, warm water, and eggs; stir well.
- Alternately add flour and the shortening mixture to form a dough.
- Let the dough set in the refrigerator overnight.
- Pour out on a floured surface; knead just enough to handle easily.
- Use a biscuit cutter to cut out rolls.
- Dip each roll in melted butter; then fold in half.
- Let the rolls rise for about 3 hours.
- Bake at 400°F for about 20 minutes.
