Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • cubed or ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1 cup stock (lamb, chicken, or fish)
  • thyme
  • sage
  • oregano
  • basil
  • black pepper
  • chopped parsley
  • garlic

Instructions

  1. Fry chopped onion until wilted.
  2. Fry chopped lamb until browned.
  3. Add rice to the fried onion and meat, and fry briefly.
  4. Stew cubed lamb in stock with all herbs until tender.
  5. Add the stock with herbs to the rice mixture.
  6. Reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes until rice is tender and flavors meld.
