Ingredients

  • 16 oz. cans whole green beans
  • bacon
  • 3/4 stick oleo (or butter)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • garlic powder
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut bacon pieces in half.
  3. Wrap each bacon piece around 6 to 8 green beans to form a bundle.
  4. Arrange the bundles in a baking dish.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt oleo (butter) and stir in brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  6. Pour the sugar mixture over the green bean bundles.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until bacon is crispy and beans are heated through.
