Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. green beans, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 to 4 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. margarine, melted
  • 1/4 c. slivered almonds, toasted

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, cook the green beans, covered, in a small amount of boiling water for 20 to 25 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  2. Drain well.
  3. In a small bowl, mix lemon juice with melted margarine.
  4. Toss green beans with lemon-margarine mixture and toasted slivered almonds before serving.
