Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Brown flour in a frying pan over low heat, stirring constantly for 20 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add sugar, cinnamon, and oil to the flour, stirring for 5 minutes.
  4. Add water and reheat, stirring for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  5. Cover and simmer slowly for 5 more minutes.
  6. Fold in chopped walnuts.
  7. Let cool and then cut into squares.
