Ham Souffle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12-16 slices sandwich bread
  • 8 slices American cheese or possibly mild Cheddar
  • 8 slices boiled ham or possibly luncheon meat
  • 6 Large eggs
  • 3 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 c. crushed corn flakes
  • 1/2 c. melted butter

Instructions

  1. Place 8 slices of bread in bottom of well-buttered oblong pan.
  2. Top each slice with cheese and ham.
  3. Top with remaining slices of bread.
  4. Mix egg, lowfat milk, and seasoning together and pour over the top.
  5. Chill overnight.
  6. Before baking, sprinkle with corn flakes and pour melted butter over the top.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  8. May cover corn flakes with foil if becoming too brown.
