Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until smooth.
  2. Add egg and mix well.
  3. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the mixture, starting and ending with dry ingredients.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Refrigerate the dough overnight.
  6. Let the dough soften for 1 hour before rolling out.
  7. Roll out the dough with minimal flour to prevent sticking.
  8. Cut into circles and fill with your desired pastry filling.
  9. Fold and pinch edges to form a triangular shape.
  10. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
  11. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12 to 15 minutes until golden.
