Ingredients

  • 2 c. broccoli flowerets
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1 to 3 small cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, cook broccoli, covered, in a small amount of boiling, salted water about 12 minutes or until tender.
  2. Drain well.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until fragrant and softened.
  5. Add cooked broccoli and crushed red pepper to the skillet; cook for a few minutes to combine flavors.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and cook until cheese melts and mixture is heated through.
  7. Serve as a spread or dip.
