Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean hamburger
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 large cans pork and beans
  • 2 Tbsp. black molasses
  • 2 Tbsp. ketchup
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Crumble and fry the hamburger and chopped onion in a skillet until the hamburger is slightly brown and the onion is clear; drain off all fat.
  2. Place the pork and beans in a large deep baking dish.
  3. Mix in the black molasses, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce with the beans.
  4. If the mixture is too dry, add 1/4 cup water.
  5. Add three-quarters of the cooked hamburger and onion mixture to the beans and stir well.
  6. Place the remaining hamburger and onion on top of the bean mixture.
  7. Bake in a microwave on High for 15 minutes, covered with a glass lid or double plastic wrap.
  8. Serve hot.
