- Mix all ingredients except butter and green onions in a large resealable bag until sugar dissolves.
- Seal the bag and allow it to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, turning occasionally.
- Turn grill to medium-high.
- When grill is hot remove meat from the marinade.
- Add meat to preheated grill, turning as needed.
- Cook for about 10 minutes for short ribs and 10-12 for chicken thighs or use a meat thermometer to check for done-ness.
- While grilling, put a heat safe pan thats large enough to hold all of the meat on the upper part of grill and add the butter.
- Allow butter to melt as the meat cooks.
- When meat is done, add it into the pan with the butter and add green onions.
- Toss to coat completely.
