Ingredients

  • 28 oz. can Rienzi nonfat crushed tomato sauce
  • 28 oz. can whole peeled tomatoes
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • olive oil
  • oregano
  • basil
  • your favorite pasta

Instructions

  1. Pour the crushed tomato sauce and whole peeled tomatoes into a pot.
  2. Heat the mixture over a low flame.
  3. Slice garlic thinly and sauté in a small amount of olive oil for 5 minutes on a low flame until the garlic begins to brown.
  4. Tilt the sauté pan and move the garlic to one side with the oil on the other side. Remove the garlic and add it to the tomato sauce mixture.
  5. Add a handful of oregano and basil to the sauce.
  6. Stir all ingredients together.
  7. Cook until very hot, stirring regularly.
  8. Prepare your favorite pasta as desired and serve with the low-fat tomato sauce.
