- Brush the frozen loaf with 1 tablespoon of margarine.
- Cover the loaf and let it thaw at room temperature for 2 to 3 hours or in the refrigerator for 6 to 10 hours.
- Sprinkle the loaf with 1/3 cup of Parmesan cheese.
- Knead until well blended.
- Cut the dough into thirds.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll each third into a 25-inch rope.
- Braid the ropes together.
- Invert a 10-ounce custard cup on a greased baking sheet and grease the cup.
- Shape the braid into a wreath around the cup.
- Pinch the ends together to seal.
- Brush with the remaining margarine.
- Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese and basil.
- Let the bread rise for 35 to 45 minutes until doubled in size.
- Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes until golden and done.
- Remove from the oven, transfer to a rack, and cool.
