- Remove giblets and neck from inside the bird.
- Rinse the bird with running cold water and drain well.
- Combine seasoned salt, thyme, rosemary, sage, pepper, and garlic powder and rub over the outside and into the body cavity.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 12 hours or overnight.
- Brush the skin with oil; roast uncovered in a 325°F oven for 3 to 4 hours, basting frequently.
