Ingredients

  • hostess ham
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. basil flakes

Instructions

  1. Soak the ham in cold water overnight.
  2. Drain the ham, add fresh water, and boil for 20 minutes per pound. Remove from broth.
  3. Cool the ham for 5 to 10 minutes. Trim off the skin, leaving the fat intact.
  4. Brush the ham with dark corn syrup and bake for 20 minutes or until browned.
