  1. Mix sugar, cocoa, salt, and milk in a large saucepan on medium heat.
  2. Cook the mixture for 26 minutes.
  3. Test by dropping a small ball into a glass of water.
  4. It is done when a soft ball forms in the water.
  5. Then add remaining ingredients: vanilla, peanut butter, butter.
  6. Stir until the mixture thickens.
  7. Pour into a greased pan and let cool.
