Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c. chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Cream butter with brown sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth and well combined.
  2. Stir in the flour, quick-cooking oats, chopped nuts, and chocolate chips, blending in the nuts and chocolate chips last.
  3. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
