Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chopped onions
  • 4 lb. highbush cranberries
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 2 c. dark brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. ground cloves
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. allspice
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil together until soft the onions, cranberries and water. Rub through a sieve; discard seeds.
  2. Then add the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Boil until thick.
  4. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
