Ingredients

  • 1 mushroom
  • 1 beef rump
  • 1 package brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup wine
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef rump in a heavy pot, browning all sides without using any fat.
  2. Season the roast with salt and garlic powder.
  3. Cover and cook on low heat for 2 hours; do not add water during cooking.
  4. Remove the roast from the pan and cover it; add water to the gravy mix according to the package directions.
  5. Add the prepared gravy to the pan and cook until thickened.
  6. Stir in the wine and mushrooms.
  7. Slice the roast and return it to the pan to reheat before serving.
