Steak Subs
Juicy, flavorful steak subs feature thinly sliced beef, fresh vegetables, and melted cheese, perfect for a hearty lunch or casual dinner with bold, comforting flavors.
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 lb. top round steak, thinly sliced ⓘ
- 1/2 c. sliced green onions ⓘ
- 2 cloves garlic, minced ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed ⓘ
- 1 can Franco-American beef gravy (10 1/4 oz.) ⓘ
- 6 large hard rolls (4-inch), split ⓘ
- lettuce leaves ⓘ
- chopped tomatoes ⓘ
- shredded Muenster cheese ⓘ
Instructions
- In a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil.
- Add the sliced beef, green onions, garlic, and oregano; cook until the beef is browned, stirring often.
- Stir in the beef gravy and heat through.
- Line the bottom half of each roll with lettuce leaves.
- Spoon about 1/4 cup of the beef mixture onto each roll.
- Top with shredded Muenster cheese and chopped tomatoes.
