Ingredients

  • 2 lb. hamburger
  • Idaho potato strips
  • sliced carrots
  • ring of bell pepper
  • 1 slice onion
  • generous pat of butter

Instructions

  1. Make 6 large oval hamburger patties, seasoned with salt, pepper, and desired spices.
  2. Place each patty on a large square of aluminum foil.
  3. Add a layer of Idaho potato strips on top of each patty.
  4. Season the potato layer as desired.
  5. Add a layer of sliced carrots on top of the potatoes and season.
  6. Place a ring of bell pepper and one slice of onion on top of the vegetables.
  7. Season again and top with a generous pat of butter on each.
  8. Fold the foil up and seal tightly to create individual foil packets.
  9. Bake the packets for 1 hour at 275° to 300°.
  10. Serve hot with garlic bread and green salad.
