- Fry the hamburger and onions together in a skillet.

- In a large kettle, mix together sugar, vinegar, tomato juice, tomato puree, chili powder, pepper, catsup, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic salt.
- Add the cooked hamburger and onions to the sauce mixture.
- Add salt to taste.
- Simmer over low heat for 1 hour.
- Cool the mixture and then run it through a meat grinder.
