Ingredients

  • 3 c. extra warm water
  • 3 Tbsp. dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 6 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. dry milk
  • 3 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Use an electric mixer to combine warm water, dry yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let the mixture ferment until bubbly.
  2. Add the remaining sugar, dry milk, salt, and egg to the yeast mixture and mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 to 1.5 hours.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide into equal portions. Shape into rolls and place on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Let the rolls rise again until puffy, about 30-45 minutes.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven, cool slightly, and serve warm.
