Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown powdered sugar
  • 1 cup dark Karo syrup

Instructions

  1. Heat butter until melted in a saucepan.
  2. Add white sugar, brown sugar, and Karo syrup to the melted butter.
  3. Simmer until all sugars are melted and the mixture is well combined.
  4. Pour the syrup over yams in a baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle small pecan pieces over the syrup.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
  7. Can be prepared up to 2 days in advance before baking.
