Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup light cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Beat egg yolks; add cream, salt, nutmeg, lemon juice, and parsley (if desired).
  2. Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
  3. Take off fire and stir in butter.
  4. Serve immediately.
