Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. sifted 10x sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. ground walnuts
  • 1 c. red raspberry preserves

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and sifted sugar together until light and fluffy.
  2. Stir in the sifted flour, vanilla, and ground walnuts to form a dough.
  3. Roll the dough into small balls, a level teaspoon at a time.
  4. Place the dough balls 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
  5. Press down each ball to form 1-inch rounds.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes or until edges are golden.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool completely.
  8. Join two cookies with a spoonful of raspberry preserves to make sandwich cookies.
  9. Sprinkle the assembled cookies generously with sifted 10x sugar.
