Ingredients

  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Powdered sugar
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Press one can of crescent rolls into a 9 x 13 inch pan to form the bottom layer.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, egg yolk, vanilla, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the layer of crescent rolls in the pan.
  4. Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and press them over the cream cheese layer.
  5. In a small bowl, beat the egg white until frothy and brush it over the top layer of crescent rolls.
  6. Bake the cake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
