Ingredients

  • 5 lb. good hamburger
  • 5 tsp. Morton Tender Quick curing salt
  • 5 tsp. black cracked pepper
  • 5 tsp. garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients well.
  2. Refrigerate in a covered bowl for 3 days, mixing daily.
  3. On the fourth day, shape the mixture into 5 logs.
  4. Place the logs on a broiler pan.
  5. Bake at 160°F (71°C) for 8 hours.
  6. Wrap the beef sticks in Saran wrap and foil.
  7. Store in the refrigerator for up to a month or freeze indefinitely.
  8. Slice to serve.
