Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 quart tomato juice
  • 1 quart tomatoes
  • 2 cans soup beans, drained and washed
  • 2 tablespoons chile powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry red pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and chopped onion together in a skillet.
  2. Drain off all fat from the beef and onion mixture.
  3. Transfer the beef and onion mixture to a crock-pot.
  4. Add tomato paste, tomato juice, tomatoes, drained and washed soup beans, chile powder, red pepper, and salt to the crock-pot.
  5. Cook all day on low heat until flavors meld and chili is heated through.
