Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 4 heaping Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 level Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • endive
  • bacon

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg in a bowl.
  2. Add sugar, flour, vinegar, and water to the egg and beat until well combined.
  3. Brown the bacon in a skillet, then pour off the grease.
  4. Add the egg mixture to the bacon in the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  5. Pour the hot dressing over the cooked endive, lettuce, or other greens and serve.
