Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 cakes yeast
  • 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Measure flour and sift with sugar and salt.
  2. Cut in the butter as for pie crust.
  3. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and add sugar to it.
  4. Let it stand until it foams.
  5. Mix together the egg yolks, sour cream, and the foaming yeast.
  6. Make a dent in the flour mixture and add the yolks, sour cream, and yeast into it.
  7. Knead into a smooth dough.
  8. Put the dough into the refrigerator overnight.
  9. The next day, roll out the dough and fill it with nut filling.
