Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 6 to 7 sliced apples (Courtland or McIntosh)

Instructions

  1. Place sliced apples on the bottom of a greased pie plate.
  2. Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon and sugar.
  3. Melt the stick of margarine.
  4. Remove from stove and add 1 cup of sugar, flour, egg, and vanilla; mix well.
  5. Spread the mixture over the apples.
  6. Bake at 375°F for 45 to 60 minutes until golden and bubbly.
