- Brown 1/2 cup chopped onion in a pot.
- Add spices and water to the onion.
- Add choice of meat (beef or chicken) and cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until tender.
- Add cubed potatoes and cook until potatoes are done.
- Serve with rice and top with chutney.
- Optionally, add 1 can chopped tomatoes, chopped green onions, salt, and pepper to taste.
