Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly cream together Crisco, oleo and sugar.
  2. Mix in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Alternately add flour with soda and buttermilk until blended.
  4. Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.
  5. Makes 3 layers. Between cooled layers, spread cooled filling.
