Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh basil leaves
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 3 Tbsp. toasted pine nuts
  • 1 Tbsp. coarse salt
  • 8 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 c. virgin olive oil
  • 1 lb. pasta

Instructions

  1. Wash the basil leaves; make sure they are well dried.
  2. Put basil in a food processor and grind, adding it bit by bit if necessary. Next, add the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Process until it looks like creamed spinach (do not puree).
  4. Serve over pasta.
