Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups margarine
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, salt, margarine, egg yolks, vanilla, and almond extract.
  3. Mix on medium speed for one minute.
  4. Gradually add flour to the mixture and combine until dough forms.
  5. Roll dough into one-inch balls.
  6. Roll each ball into beaten egg whites, then into chopped pecans.
