Italian Pockets combine seasoned sausage, zucchini mix, and melted cheese in pita pockets for a flavorful, easy-to-make meal perfect for casual dinners or lunchboxes.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. can Italian zucchini mix
  • 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms
  • 0.25 lb. grated Cheddar or Mozzarella cheese
  • 4 Italian sausage links
  • 6 pitas

Instructions

  1. Drain the sliced mushrooms.
  2. Add the zucchini mix to a pan and simmer.
  3. Remove sausage from casings, then brown and drain.
  4. Add the cooked sausage to the zucchini mix.
  5. Cut each pita into two pockets.
  6. Stuff the pockets with the zucchini and sausage mixture.
  7. Top with cheese and melt before serving.
