Delightful walnut-based cookie boats filled with warm jam, offering a crunchy exterior and sweet, nutty flavor that pairs perfectly with tea or coffee. Great for special treats.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups ground walnuts
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 egg whites

Instructions

  1. Combine ground walnuts and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add egg whites gradually to the mixture until it forms a thick paste.
  3. Drop large spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking sheet coated with nonstick vegetable spray.
  4. Use the back of a spoon to make a hollow in the center of each ball.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for 20 minutes or until lightly brown.
  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.
  7. Fill each cookie with warm jam in the hollow and serve.
