Ingredients

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 1 baked 9-inch pie shell
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 scant tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 small Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Cook cornstarch, water, and butter until clear and thick, stirring during cooking.
  2. Add 4 tablespoons of strawberry Jell-O. Cook 4 to 5 minutes longer.
  3. Cool the mixture.
  4. Slice fresh strawberries and arrange them in the baked pie shell.
  5. Pour the cooled mixture over the strawberries.
  6. Top with Cool Whip and chill before serving.
