Ingredients

  • 2 12-oz pkgs split peas, rinsed & soaked overnight
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 5 carrots, sliced
  • 2 qts water (keep adding)
  • Cauliflower, chopped
  • Potatoes, peeled & diced
  • Chunk of black forest ham
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Chipotle pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Soak peas overnight in large kettle.
  2. 2. Add all other ingredients and cook, uncovered, for several hours or until potatoes are tender and peas have turned to mush.
