A light and fruity layered gelatin dessert with cream cheese, apple slices, and nuts, perfect for a refreshing treat at gatherings or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages lemon jello
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 15 apple slices
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water
  • 1 cup chopped apples

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the lemon gelatin in boiling water.
  2. Add cold water to the gelatin mixture.
  3. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of the gelatin mixture and chill the remainder until thickened.
  4. Pour the thickened gelatin into 6 molds and arrange the apple slices in the gelatin.
  5. Chill until set but not firm.
  6. Beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  7. Blend in the reserved gelatin.
  8. Fold in the chopped apples and chopped nuts.
  9. Chill until slightly thickened.
  10. Spoon the mixture into the molds and chill at least 4 hours before serving.
