Ingredients

  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon jello
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • dash of salt
  • juice of 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix the lemon jello with boiling water and let it cool.
  2. Add the cake mix, eggs, oil, lemon juice, and salt to the cooled jello mixture.
  3. Mix for 5 minutes until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into an ungreased tube pan.
  5. Bake in a 350°F oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
  6. Let the cake cool after baking.
  7. Mix the juice of 1 orange with 1/2 cup sugar to make a glaze.
  8. Pour the orange-sugar mixture over the cooled cake and let it absorb.
