Instructions
- Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs and mix well.
- Sift flour to make 3 1/2 cups; then sift again with soda and cinnamon, in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture to make a stiff dough.
- Mix in nuts and raisins. Drop by spoonful on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Watch carefully.
