Ingredients

  • 2 large scallions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. hot sauce
  • 4 bone-in loin pork chops, 8 oz. each, 1 inch thick

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together scallions, garlic, vegetable oil, lemon juice, honey, allspice, thyme, salt, black pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, and hot sauce to make the jerk seasoning.
  2. Place the pork chops in a large glass dish.
  3. Rub the jerk seasoning over both sides of the pork chops.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  6. Heat a grill pan over high heat.
  7. Place the pork chops on the grill pan and cook for 2 minutes per side.
  8. Transfer the chops to a baking dish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 155 degrees Fahrenheit.
  10. Let the pork chops rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  11. Serve with buttered red skinned potatoes, string beans, and carrots.
